About Us

About Us

Located in Washington and Osage counties, Kane Cattle Company has been under continuous family operation since the 1960’s. In the beginning, we began operations on the Foster Ranch, just south of the Caney River, and purchased the Cedar Creek Ranch in Osage County. In subsequent years we have increased our operations around the Cedar Creek Ranch, continued operations on the Foster Ranch, and added operations on the Quarry Ranch, in Dewey, OK.

We currently manage a cow/calf operation, consisting of Black Angus and Hereford cross cows. All of these animals live in Osage County, only eight miles west of Bartlesville. Our stocker operation, consisting of cattle from a variety of locations, operates in Osage and Washington counties.

Our Mission

Kane Cattle Company is a beef-producing company that is dedicated to a high quality product. We are deeply devoted to the animals that are in our care, and we are passionate about their welfare.

Our Commitment to Quality

The cattle industry has done a phenomenal job of self-regulating product quality. All producers participate in a program called Beef Quality Assurance (BQA). BQA is a nationally coordinated, state implemented program that provides systematic information to U.S. beef producers and beef consumers of how common sense husbandry techniques can be coupled with accepted scientific knowledge to raise cattle under optimum management and environmental conditions. Its guidelines are designed to make certain all beef consumers can take pride in what they purchase and can trust and have confidence in the entire beef industry. For more information on Beef Quality Assurance, please visit their site.

According to Beef Quality Assurance, a large part of the beef industry’s job involves making sure that beef is safe and wholesome for consumers; our operation is certainly no exception to that. We believe that safe and wholesome beef starts with proper treatment of our bulls and cows. Real California Milk suggests that “great milk comes from happy cows”, and we believe that to be the case with beef, as well. We take all necessary steps to ensure safe production practices, and we are always happy to discuss these practices with our customers. We would love to show you, too, so please come out and visit the ranch!
